Woops!
So I fried my computer and have been using my host family's lately. I just spent about thirty minutes updating and then realized that I haven't actually posted any of my entries that I've been posting for the past few days. Woops. So I went back to them and tried to publish them. Only I deleted them. Guess I'm not so good at Japanese yet. Woops. I think I just deleted three entries.

I love you Heather! Despite our weird and unexpected nightly bickering, I had a blast and was so happy to see you. :) In fact, the nightly ritual was almost necessary, don't you think? It confirms we're still able to have fun and love each other even if we're slightly crazy.
A renewed apology though--jet lag, pms, and extreme tiredness made me a bit brittle by the time 10 pm rolled around. Sorry I kept getting snapish and I hope it didn't make you sorry I came.
I am so amazed by you and more proud of you than I ever thought I could be (and I thought I could be pretty proud!!). You have the perfect mix of confidence and humility and I'm in awe.
I'll be reliving that airport-hug I got upon arrival for a very long time. I miss it already, and can't wait to hug you again.

I just found your blog. You don't know me, but I knew you when you were an itty tiny baby, I used to be a "friend of the family" so to speak...
I am SO JEALOUS! Kyoto! That's my favorite Japanese city! Did you choose Kyoto or luck into it? You need to post more photos so we can all live vicariously through your adventures! ~_^
Who are you?? A mystery! I lucked into Japan AND Kyoto. I'll post more picutres as soon as my computer is up and running, which I don't know when that'll be. But I just found out there's a computer store right next door to my house (don't I feel stupid) and will go first thing in the morning.
